Beauty - Vo5 Miracle Concentrate

So many bloggers were raving about this Vo5 Miracle Concentrate that I knew I had to try it, it cost me €6.50, I got my sister to get it for me in Liffey recently, and I was surprised at how small the bottle was, its only 50mls so its small, but a little of this goes a long long way.

First of all it smells fab, I tried it on dry hair yesterday , just  a few drops in to the ends and it was lovely, it conditioned it straightaway.  So this morning when I washed my hair I was dying to try it on wet hair!  I towel dried my hair and put about 4 drops (using the little dropper that comes with it) through the ends of my hair, as its only here I need the conditioning.  i then dried my hair as normal and I must say it was so so soft and felt lovely! I think this is going to become a firm staple in my kit! Its full of Argan Oil and I noticed today when shopping that ALOT of brands have conditioners with Argan Oil, maybe I never noticed them before or maybe they are new out...........!!
Then I bought this little comb in Boots, they say that its better to "comb" wet hair rather than "brush" it so I thought I would now be good to my hair and comb it anymore :)

Life - Sebaceous Cysts - Read at your own risk!!

*source - Google Images.
Recently I had Sebaceous Cysts removed, now I'm not going to go into detail with it, if you have one you will know it, if you don't your lucky!!  They are basically little lumps under the skin...they can become infected and irritated.......this is what happened to me! I had four, so one day when it was particularly sore and uncomfortable I decided to go to a Private Hospital and get them removed once and for all!!  So I made the appointment (on a referral letter from my GP) and waited for the day to arrive!!

I was given local anaesthetic to the four areas (this was quite painful but don't let that put you off) but it only lasted about 30 seconds and the areas were totally numb.  The operation was over and done within 15 minutes and I was stitched up and sent home...told to keep them covered and visit my GP in ten days for the stitches to be removed!  That was it.

Once the local anaesthetic wore off I thought I would be in alot of pain, but I wasn't, I was very uncomfortable but otherwise I was fine.  Over the next ten days, I couldn't work or drive too far but now that the stitches are out I am delighted that its done!!

Just thought I would do this little post to let you know that it is possible to have them removed, you don't have to suffer in silence!!

Do any of the rest of you suffer from these? I also suffer from skin tags as I have told you before - I don't know if they are connected or not!! How about the rest of you??

Beauty - Urban Decay NAKED and NOTD

Firstly of all a big thank you to my sister for the above present.....which I got today......was totally shocked.  I have wanted the UD Naked Palette ever since I laid eyes on it but it was so hard to get! I'm not going to bore you anymore about it as everyone is blogging about it....but just had to share this with you :)
Today I decided to treat myself to a nice Revlon Nail Polish....there is actually 3for2 in Boots at the moment on all Revlon products...so I got 3 nail varnishes, I usually buy Catrice nail polishes as they are so cheap so it will be interesting to see if I prefer these more expensive ones!  I love the colour (375 PassionFruit) and the texture- so far so good!!

Beauty - Chanel Chance!!!!

CHANEL CHANCE - This is one of my all time favourite perfumes, particularly for day time use.  I find it to be nice and sweet without being sickly sweet! I don't find it to be over powering like I find other Chanel perfumes...now don't get me wrong I love all Chanel perfumes but I find them strong and prefer them for night-time use!!

Life.............treats!!

I have been recovering from surgery over the last few days so I have been treating myself with the above delights!! They have healing properties you know..........!!
I also bought myself a lovely new bedspread as I knew I would be spending alot of time in it! I usually prefer vintage type bedspreads but I thought this stripey one was nice for a change!

Beauty - Bourjois Liner Feutre - My Favourite EyeLiner

This is my favourite eye liner - I just realised that I never took a pic of the top of it!! Doh!! Its actually like a felt tip top so it is really really easy to work with, that's what I really love about it.

The colour is lovely and dark and it really lasts.  From memory it is about €9 but it lasts for ages so I don't know for sure the price!! I really really like it and for me who is not too good at eyeliner its so easy to work with!!

Life - Skin Tags (read at your own risk)

This post comes with a WARNING!!

If you have skin tags you will know what they are and you will be delighted to hear I found a solution.....If you don't - this post may put you off your food!!  I was trying to decide whether or not to post about this as I don't want to gross people out...but I spent a lot of time researching this topic when I needed relief so I decided that it would only be fair...!!

Firstly if you would like to see a picture of skin tags you can click HERE.  A skin tag is basically a little additional bit of skin...it looks similar to a rice krispie and usually never causes anyone any bother.  For as long as I can remember I had a few skin tags on my inner thighs, they were always there and never gave me too much trouble, that is until recent years.  I think what changed was that my fashion changed and I wore a lot of tights and leggings and the problem was that the tights and legging were rubbing against the skin tags and really aggravated them and sometimes caused them to bleed!

So this brought me on many trips to my local GP where I was placed on a waiting list for removal in my local HSE hospital.....(I'm still waiting!!).  Eventually a friend recommended a different GP in my locality with an interest in skincare.....so I made an appointment with him to see what he could do!

On meeting him, he told me that he would sort them out there and then! He got a solution (Liquid Nitrogen I think) and applied it with a cotton bud to the skin tags...I felt a slight tingle and heard a little "sizzle" and that was it....€40 later I left in the confidence that they would drop off a week or two later...which they did!

This was over one year ago and I am so happy with the results....I need not have suffered so long.

Do any of you suffer from these?....
What did you find worked for you??...

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish

This is one of my all time favourite products......I use it as a highlighter...I mainly put in on the tops of my cheeks over my blusher, and I love it - it gives a lovely sheen...

I did swatch it but its so hard to see it in the photo but its lovely on the shoulders etc on a sunny day over tan etc - Love it!!  It really glistens when you move ...!

Lifes Little Essentials.....

These are products that I use every day but I haven't blogged about them before as they probably aren't the most exciting....but I thought I should write more about the boring every day products.

First up is Baby Oil - I love this, I usually use it on my skin after a shower, I put it on to wet skin and it really absorbs the moisture and leaves a lovely little shine!! I know lots of people use this as eye make up remover...I don't I think it would be too messy for that! However I wouldn't be using this on my skin in the hot weather (where is it today) as the oil would make it BURN!!

Next up is Mitchum Roll-On ..... I also find this very good, Mitchum is on of the only products I really find works.  I also use the Mitchum Aerosol however my faith in them has been squashed in recent times as when they are half full they would just stop working!!! This happened many times!!

But its sooo cute !!!

Belfast shopping list........Part 1

Thanks to cornflakegirl for reccomending that I try out Sleek make up products, I had heard of them but somehow forgot all about them...........I have since been stalking their website and I have spotted a few things (all pics are from their website) I like - have any of you tried them??
Glo

This contouring product looks lovely....

Blush
I dont think this RED blush is for me - Isnt it a mad colour thou!!!?

 Storm i-Divine Palette
Storm i-Divine Eyeshadow Palettes - This looks lovely and is only €8.50.

Another company I thought of was Prestige Cosmetics I know I read about these somewhere before - I particularly like the look of these baked bronzers

The list has begun.......... :)

Shopping suggestions.....

My sister is heading to Belfast in a few weeks time and I am going to get her to bring my back something nice, something that we can't get down south....or something more reasonably priced than it is down south...any suggestions ladies??
I have been researching the web but everything I see I think, do I really really need it and usually its a no.  There was a time when I would never think "do I really need it" but I suppose when your trying to use up products you become more aware of buying things you dont need!
http://www.riverisland.com/Online/women/bags--purses/leather-bags/navy-leather-and-suede-holdall-bag-600281
I love this bag from River Island .... its such a great size bag.....brilliant for everyday use! This might go on my Belfast list :)

Monday 30 May 2011

My absolute essentials......last ones standing.

As you know I have been busy moving the last while and I am now left with the bare minimum here...so I thought I would show you what I couldn't live without in my final few nights!!

I couldn't live a night without my Coconut Oil which I blogged about on my second ever post.....HERE.

Then my Revlon Equave Two Phase Spray Conditioner....Love this, its great for my blonde hair!

A back up hand cream, I usually have Clarins in my bag but its handy to have a back up...just in case, I love the Neutrogena Hand cream for this.

Next is my trusty...Batiste Dry Shampoo  - couldn't be caught short without this!

Then you will see a little tub of vaseline and a tub of cotton buds, I love cleaning my ears after a shower! Don't ask me why!

An last but not least my famous La Roche Posay Moisturisers!

Make-up is gone as I brought all that home the other day.....I was so afraid I would damage my lovely make up storage in the move but I didn't - it survived!! TG.

I forgot to take a  pic of my shampoo, conditioner and shower gel......but they aren't overly exciting!!

Moving is hard work!

http://www.google.ie/
Im moving house and boy is it hard work.....Have moved sooo many loads of stuff (where did I get so much stuff) and my poor little car probably feels like the one in the pic above at this stage.

However one good thing is that it is a great opportunity to get rid of things Im not using...some for the car boot sale, some for the bin and some for just giving to an aunt of mine who loves all my leftovers...handbags etc!! I really have to stop buying until I use what I have!!

I have been very good since Christmas...when I made it my business to start using up all of my products, shower gels, shampoos etc.........So I didnt have too much of that stuff to bring home!!

Cant wait to get it all organised into its new home!

Apologies to anyone who left comments in the last few days, I have read them and tried to reply, but something seems to be wrong with the blogger so I'm sorry if you thought I didn't reply! :)

Life..........and things I like

I thought I would do a little blog more about life and things I like rather than beauty.....so here it goes!

Lately I have spend ALOT of time researching interior design as we are renovating our future home at the moment!  I thought I would show you a few pictures of things I like so far......
http://homeklondike.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/10-best-10-ideas-country-living-rooms-cottage-living-room.jpg

I love this picture....I love the white cleanness of this room....although it might not be very practical...but there are elements of it that are perfect, I could imagine myself curled up on this chair in front of the fire and blogging away till my hearts content!!
http://homeklondike.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/1-best-10-ideas-country-living-rooms-country-cottage.jpg
I also love this pic, I love the mix of fabrics as I don't like interiors to be too matchy matchy!   I love loads of mismatched cushions...I think it adds character!

http://www.artohouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/Colorful-Interior-Cottage-in-Spain-by-Mexican-Designer-588x735.jpg
Love all the above - however looking back I think there is a theme!!!!  I just wonder how practical all the light colours would be....with my farmer boyfriend :)

Todays make-up

Hey Everyone, I'm back, I have been very busy for the last week, getting ready to move house, so the blog had taken a back seat  for a while!  Just thought that I would show you some of the make up I use for a quick fix..I'm not a morning person so spending alot of time doing my face after rolling out of bed doesn't suit me! These are actually some of my favourite products!
This is the Bourjois Smokey Eyes kit, the colours go really really well together and they last forever.  I really like them.
This is DiorSkin Mineral Powder, I love it.....Sometimes I wear it on its own and other times I just put it on over my foundation.  It gives a lovely fresh glow!  I also bought it on sale (the shop was closing down) so it was half price! Bargain!!
